Description: On an international scale, I am an intermediate Lindy Hopper. On a local scale, I am an advanced Lindy Hopper. I teach Lindy Hop, and East Coast Swing. I also know a number of obscure Swing-era and pre-swing era dances (heel-shag, shag, wheelin', five-point, shim sham shimmy, charleston, black-bottom, etc). I have years of ballet and jazz training, some tap, some beledi ("belly dancing"), folk dancing, miscellaneous. I am a member of a (semi-professional) amateur swing performing group. I have been performing aerials for several years with my previous partner, and have taught aerials. Have done minor aerials with several partners. I am looking for a partner with a good swing background, but primarily with a good solid dance background. I am open to learning new dance styles. I am a VERY fast learner, and an EXCELLENT follower. I'm looking for a social dance partner, but also with an eye toward aerials and performing.
